Front of House Photography is thrilled to kicking off a month-long photo exhibit at The Grind House Cafe in Toronto’s famed Kensington Market. (281 Augusta Ave)
The artwork will feature photographer Bobby Singh’s unique and intimate coverage of local and international acts that have performed on Toronto stages for the last few years.
Not only are we happy to have Steam Whistle on board because it’s a delicious local Pilsner, Steam Whistle is a proud supporter of Canadian indie music with their Unsigned concert series, so this partnership makes perfect sense!
All artwork that is on display will be available for sale and custom print orders are available upon request.
Come down and enjoy great Grind House coffee, ice cold Steam Whistle Pilsner, giveaways and of course lots of music! Our soundtrack for the night will be provided by many of the featured subjects including…
A Primitive Evolution
Tin Star Orphans
Saidah Baba Talibah
…and many more!
Front of House photography was established in 2011 by photographer Bobby Singh, who has just been announced as a finalist in the Analogue Gallery’s 2014 Sound Image photo contest, and his work will also be featured simultaneously in that gallery for the month of March, so be sure to visit Analogue Gallery starting March 7th. I’d like to thank you for all of your support, likes and reblogs over the past years. You’ve helped grow this site and given me amazing opportunities and I am very grateful.
One such opportunity has presented itself. There is an amazing photo gallery here in Toronto called Analogue Gallery. They specialize in music photography, and needless to say I have been in many times and drooled over their offerings. They are currently running a contest for local photographers to submit a handful of images, and based on fan voting, have the chance to have one of the pieces hanging in the gallery! This would be a dream come true for me!
I have submitted 5 of my favourite shots, and if you have a facebook account, I would be very appreciative if you clicked any or all of the links below and if it strikes your fancy, just click “like”. That’s all you have to do to vote! The images with the most votes at the end of the contest are finalists. If you feel compelled to share, reblog or pass it on, I won’t complain 🙂
Each photo has the name of the photographer and a short description. I’ve chosen The Balconies, USS, Iggy Pop, Justin Townes Earle and Monster Truck. The links are below, thanks again for your support!
