Yes William – Mercury Lounge, New York

Chicago/New York-based Emily Einhorn, performing under the moniker Yes William opened up the night with her solo acoustic set at the Mercury Lounge. A set of beautifully sung, melancholy songs which can be found on her latest EP “These Are Your Friends.” (bandcamp)

Ohnomoon – Mercury Lounge, New York

Ohnomoon celebrated the release of their latest record “VVV” (itunes, bandcamp) at Mercury Lounge. Filled with beautiful ethereal harmonies over hooky shoegaze rhythm, Ohnomoon packed the house for an early set of originals and topped the night off with a unique cover of Bowies “Ashes to Ashes.” Theirs was a spooky pop take on an already surreal original, and that quite nicely sums up Ohnomoon’s lovely trippy sound.

Ohnomoon are:

Kat Lee – vocals, guitar, keys
Corey Oliver – guitar, vocals, percussion
Mike Spivack – bass, keys, percussion
Trevor Gunderson – drums, percussion
