Wayhome Music & Arts Festival 2017

Wayhome Music & Arts Festival blew into the vast farmland of Oro-Medonte for the third consecutive year last weekend. As festival goers the GTA felt the loss of TURF and once again Riot Fest, Wayhome is a relatively short drive out of the Big Smoke to see a good variety of touring acts. This year’s lineup featured International acts such as Solange (no photos allowed), Frank Ocean (photos? nope!), Imagine Dragons, Cage The Elephant, Flume, and Phantogram. Also included was some amazing local representation such as PUP, The Darcys, Constantines, and Death From Above

Front of House is proud to welcome contributor Dawn Hamilton who covered the festival, which took place at the same time as Panorama in New York City (stay tuned for that post…)

Metric – live at 102.1 The Edge studios

Emily Haines and James Shaw of Metric stopped by The Edge studios on Tuesday May 12th to celebrate the release of their new single “The Shade.” In addition to the new single they dug deep for their old fans and performed “Live it Out” the title track to their 2005 album. Metric will be touring with Imagine Dragons this summer, a move that required them to push up the production and release of their as-yet-untitled album, due out in the fall of 2015.
