St. Lucia w/ Tigertown – Phoenix Concert Theatre, Toronto

Tigertown

Australia’s Tigertown are currently supporting St. Lucia on their North American tour, hot on the heels of a great new EP “Lonely Cities” (Neon Gold, Atlantic).

St. Lucia

Much like their hit single “Dancing on Glass” St. Lucia‘s live performance at The Phoenix was a constant barrage of high-energy, infectious hooks and genuine fun. St. Lucia are currently touring the latest record “Matter” (Columbia).

Brazilian Girls – Highline Ballroom, New York City

New York-based, trippy, eclectic world music troupe Brazilian Girls packed the Highline Ballroom in Chelsea on a Sunday night. The band has made a name for themselves on the New York scene with their intimate, positive love and drug infused sets and Sunday nigh was no exception.

A new EP is promised to be out April 1st, but check back on their facebook page for updates

www.ashimasuri.com Launch Party Oct 28th 2012 @ashimasuri

I was invited by my good friend Ashima Suri to the launch of her new brand and website, coincidentally, called ashimasuri.com. The night included good friends, good food, speeches, shmoozing and a wonderful solo performance by Ashima.

A choreographer, dancer, public speaker and community activist, Ashima is sincerely one of the most passionate, inspirational people I’ve ever known. I wish her nothing but continued success.

Please be sure to visit her site for more information about workshops and upcoming events.
