Chrissie Hynde kicked off the North American leg of her tour in support of her first solo album “Stockholm“(Caroline Records). Looking as cool and confident as ever she took to the stage in a silk vest, necktie, skinny jeans and, one can only assume, faux leather thigh highs. As this was her first show of the tour she didn’t quite strut around the stage as saunter in and out of the spotlight, finding her footing. One thing she didn’t need to find was her voice. From the first gruff yet smooth note it was classic Chrissie. Forgoing the guitar for the first few numbers in favour of a tambourine she kept things at a slow tempo getting the crowd warmed up.
