Cherie Currie at Lee’s Palace

Lead singer of iconic all-girl punk band The Runaways, Cherie Currie visited Lee’s Palace as part of her North American solo tour. The set drew from her solo records, classic rock covers (incl. Rebel Rebel, Draggin’ The Line) and of course classic Runaways hits. She was genuinely overwhelmed by the crowd response, and at times visibly emotional when discussing the good old days, specifically the late Sandy West. At 54, Cherie Currie looks and sounds as stunning as ever.

After the set Cherie stayed behind for two hours and signed each and every autograph and posed for photos and took her time chatting with and hugging her fans.

Stay tuned for an upcoming solo album (her first in 30 years!) featuring songwriting collaborations and performances with other members of the Runaways and original producer Kim Fowley. Visit her website for updates
