LeE HARVeY OsMOND is the latest/current supergroup fronted by Tom Wilson. Showcasing their talents as a trio this particular night with drummer Ray Farrugia (Junkhouse) and Johnny Diamond on upright bass.
An icon in the contemporary Canadian rock and roots scene, Wilson performed passionately and as always, honestly. Explaining that all the money from the Junkhouse hit “Shine” was pretty much spent on drugs, “so that’s why [he’s] playing this convention here tonight.” Constantly referred to as an “industry showcase” by all attending, it was a damn good concert to me. LeE HARVeY OsMOND, Ben Caplan and The Trews. One powerful set each, and then a superjam? The “industry” didn’t know what hit ’em.
